Rules
We will follow the Student Handbook's rules. However, here are a few rules that students should be aware of before coming to class.
The Rule of Ruddick: Respect yourself, your peers, and your school.
The Rule of Ruddick: Respect yourself, your peers, and your school.
- Come to class prepared to work! Effort is the only thing you bring that I can't provide.
- The classroom will be a safe place for EVERYONE!
- Respect the thoughts, ideas, and opinions of others, even if you don't agree with them. Learning this now will help you in working with others in the future!
- Be on time! You can't learn if you aren't in class.
- No food or drinks in the classroom. If a teacher gives you candy or snacks, please ask before bringing them with you.
- Respect the nice things we have. The iPads, the computers, and the books are all things that someone else provided so we can do cool, fun things in the classroom. Use them appropriately and appreciate what you have.
Library Day
Library day will be every other Tuesday. I will put specific dates here once school starts. Each student will be expected to have a novel with them at all times. We will discuss things students are reading at different times in class. Be prepared to talk about things you are reading.

Rules for the Library
- The library is for picking books and magazines to read. It's not for socializing or playing games.
- We will meet in the classroom and walk down quietly to the library.
- I always have books available to students who cannot check out from the library.
- Kindles, eReaders, and iPads can be used to read from in class or in the library.
